What is Protective Lens?

Laser protection lenses are primarily used in laser cutting and welding machines to shield or prevent high-temperature splashes, debris, and other harmful elements from damaging the valuable laser focusing lenses. They act as a protective barrier placed in the work area to safeguard high-value internal components of the laser system. As a final optical component, they are installed within the laser head but do not affect or reduce the laser output energy.

High transmittance

The damage threshold can reach 20J/cm² in the wavelength range of 1030-1080nm, and the transmittance can reach 99.85% or 99.99%, so that the laser can better penetrate the lens to reach the processing part.

High temperature resistance

It can withstand the high temperature generated during the operation and is not easily deformed or damaged by high temperature. For example, the protective lens made of quartz has strong high temperature resistance, ensuring stable operation in high temperature environment.

Ultra-thin design

Under the premise of ensuring strength and optical performance, the thickness of the lens is reduced as much as possible to adapt to the compact structure of the laser equipment, which is easy to install and use.

Multi-functional
